The spread of social media occurred extraordinarily quickly. Just 15 years ago, most homes did not have an Internet connection. 10 years ago, social media was limited to small specialized forums, and blogging was something that few people paid much attention to. Save your kid to learn lidolearning.

Today, the Internet surrounds all aspects of our lives.

This immersion in Internet technology is wonderful for productivity, but it can be a nightmare for children. With the explosion of social media, online learning safety for children has become more important than ever.

There are so many threats that children face online. These are just a few examples of the dangers that lurk:

Child Identity Theft - Because a child's social security number can often be used for years without being discovered, children are excellent targets for identity theft.

Child Predators - As children use social media to communicate, the risk of a child predator becoming involved with a child is much higher. These criminals can use social media to gain the trust of children and facilitate predation.

Exposure to Unwanted Content - We all know that gambling, pornography, and violence are rampant on the internet.

Reputation - All it takes is a compelling image of your child to appear online, and it can have an impact on their life. Colleges and universities are now using social media to determine the character of applicants; a bad image can make a difference!
