W5.4 Group Tasks and Timelines
Group Tasks and Timelines
1. Hopefully, you've all joined a group by now. If not, watch the video Groups in Canvas SoMe Links to an external site. to learn how.
2. Then you should have found your way to your group's Google Doc, either through Collaborations OR by accessing the Doc directly from the Announcement made in your group. You do not have to have a Google account to access the document for your group. If you don't have a Google account, you will just make edits anonymously and no data will be tracked.
3. By now, your group should have established who will be in charge of which roles - everyone else is a researcher.
4. Each group will produce a document with links to articles, videos, and other artifacts that might help someone else learn about social media in this subject area.
5. Each group will prepare a 5-minute presentation (with your choice of media) to share what you've learned about social media in your subject area.
Purpose:
To take a deep dive into the best practices, marketing strategies, privacy, and legal issues in one subject area. This is your chance to apply what you're learning to a specific topic.
Timeline:
Weeks 5-7: Continue to research about Social Media in your subject area.
Week 8: Work on the final draft of your Google Doc.
Week 9: Final draft of your Google Doc is due by Wednesday. Each Doc will be moved to a page in this course for future access by all course members (I'll do this). You should then be intensively working on your presentation, due the next week.
Week 10: Presentations will be due Wednesday in a digital shareable format (YouTube, Vimeo, Prezi, ... or some other choice). These will also be shared for future access by all course members.
