Google's Experiment with Buzz

The Google Buzz experiment lasted from May 2010 to December 2011 - a brief affair that attempted to merge Gmail with a Social Network. It isn't easy to find video demonstrating Google Buzz anymore, but here are some remnants. Google faced serious privacy concerns when it opted all users of Gmail "in" to Google Buzz, sharing personal information with other Gmail users.

Google's Experiment with Wave

Google Wave was released to the public in May 2010 and invites to Wave were the "it" ticket to have for a short time in the tech world. A short 3 months later, Google announced that the future of Wave was questionable and that support for the website would continue at least through the end of the year. In reality, Wave accounts did not officially get deleted till April 2012. Read more about Google Wave on Wikipedia Links to an external site..
