Students use a lot of websites for academic as well as for entertainment purposes.

However, the scope of this article is limited to academia. So we will discuss what types of websites are most useful to students from an academic perspective.

With that in mind, let's delve in.

We have compiled a list of what we think are the most useful platforms for academic purposes.

Here it goes:

Urpdf Links to an external site.

This is a website with 9 different tools that you can use to modify your pdf files. No wonder it's one of the most useful websites for students.

It includes tools like pdf to word converter, word to pdf converter, ppt converter, pdf splitter, pdf merger, pdf to excel etc.

Students get a lot of assignments related to homework and class presentations and this leads them to do a lot of writing and editing.

For instance, students get assignments that they have to submit to their teachers in hard pdf. How do they go about it?

They make their assignments usually in Google Docs or MS Word but they can’t present it to their teachers in these formats because it’s not really a formal thing to do.

A PDF format is the right format for this purpose and so they have to convert those files to pdf, this is where websites like these come in handy.

Calculatored Links to an external site.

Calculatored is another cool website that we think is highly useful for students. This website contains, as its name implies, calculators, of different kinds.

This website is a great help for students of math, statistics, physics and chemistry. As there are a lot of complex calculations that would take forever if students did them by hand.

This website solves that problem and manages to provide students with free calculators of different kinds for various problems like finding midpoint, integration, theoretical yield, voltage division etc.

This results in productivity boost which allows students to focus more on novel education rather than repetitively solving problems they already know how to solve, causing an increase in efficiency.

Coursera Links to an external site.

Coursera is the pioneering educational website. With access to over 3000 different courses, coursera provides world class education to different students looking to learn different skills.

Ever since the internet became mainstream, education has reaped a lot of benefits. In the pre-internet era, education wasn’t globally democratized. People in developing countries didn’t have the same quality of education as people in developed countries.

This is still a problem, but with online platforms like coursera, this is, atleast, in part changing which has allowed people from all across the world with access to internet, get world class to obtain hard skills education of the same quality.

This is why it's one of the most essential websites for students and it is not for profit. Most courses are free.

Wrapping it up

Due to the limitations of this article, we are unable to cover many other useful websites for students but what the list we have discussed above can be generalized for other websites that students find useful.
