    • Due Feb 14, 2013 by 1am
    • Points None

Read carefully the "Letter to Readers" instructions below; these will help you write a cover letter that should precede your Reader-Response Essay.

Both this letter and your final Reader-Response essay should be posted together for peer review via the Reader-Response Essay Peer Reviews discussion thread.

    Letter to Readers Instructions

1.1. Include today's date on your letter and include the salutation: Dear Readers.

1.2. Tell the reader what you intend for the essay to do for its readers. Describe its purpose(s) and the effect(s) you want it to have on the readers. Say who you think the readers are.

1.3. Describe your process of working on the essay. How did you narrow the assigned topic? What kind of planning did you do? What steps did you go through, what changes did you make along the way, what decisions did you face, and how did you make the decisions?

1.4. How did comments from previous peer review sessions or class activities or readings inform the construction of this essay?

1.5. What help would you like from your readers? What are you struggling with at this time? What do you feel are the strengths of the essay?

1.6. Include a closing sentiment, and don't forget to sign your letter!
