DBQ Project - Bonus Videos
The DBQ Project was my introduction to including writing in my History classes. They have excellent graphic organizers: "bucketing" for grouping evidence and a "chicken leg" for writing thesis statements. For getting kids to develop arguments they use a class discussion "thrash out" that gets students ready to write. They offer a free sample here: http://www.dbqproject.com/sample-dbq-and-mini-q-2.php Links to an external site.
If you have attended a DBQ Project PD or used their curricula, you may skip ahead.
