Activity 

 

1. Copy and past the first 2 paragraphs (preamble) of the Declaration of Independence Links to an external site. or the entire Gettysburg Address  Links to an external site.and paste it into the yellow box at Rewordify.com Links to an external site..  Then click "Rewordify text."   

2. Once the text has been "rewordified," click on the settings link in the upper right-hand corner of the page (shown above).  When you click on the menu link, a pop-up menu will appear (shown below), where you can adjust the display mode, reading level, and highlighting mode for the text.  Try each of the display modes to see which mode would work best for your students.   Then adjust the reading level and highlight mode for the text.

3. Once you have saved your settings, you can also decide which learning activities / studying tools you want to print out for your students (shown below).  You can also check the stats and share the document or try an online "learning session" by click on the links in the black bar at the top of the page (show below).
