This survey is part of a voluntary digital badging research study. Your participation is greatly appreciated. Each question below relates to your acquisition of the Instructional Design Service Badge.

We are asking for your participation in a research study that explores the perceptions of MOOC participants earning a digital badge for Adult Basic Education lesson design. You are asked to complete a brief survey regarding how the digital badges impacted your motivation, status recognition, and evidence of achievement. The survey will take approximately 10 minutes to complete.

Your input will help inform future use of digital badges in MOOC. Your participation is voluntary. Your decision will not change any present or future relationships with Designers for Learning, Old Dominion University, and its affiliates. Risks are minimal since no personal information will be collected. All data will be reported in aggregate and will be kept confidential. There are no direct benefits to your participation. By completing the survey, you will help us understand how the design and use of badges influence participation and performance in instructional and service learning projects such as this in the future.
