Week 1: Accessibility Matters Peer Review Assignment

For your first peer assignment, you are asked to compose a brief memo explaining in your own words what you have learned this week about the importance of accessible design. Your intended audience is your supervisor or campus committee or department. You should summarize what you feel to be the most important points about this module -- you are the teacher! Your memo should be long enough to contain the relevant information, but not so long that you lose your audience (under 2 pages).

In this memo:

• explain why accessible design is important
• provide examples of ways in which disability may impact students and their learning experiences
• provide examples of assistive technology and technological barriers

You may submit your memo by using the text box, uploading a file, or providing a URL to a website/blog were you have posted your memo. 

Don't forget, in addition to completing the assignment you will need to review two of your peers' assignments. These peer reviews will become available after the assignment due date. 

The due date for your peer assignment is Feb 28 by 11:59 PM EST.

The due date for your peer reviews of 2 students' work is March 6 by 11:59 PM EST.
