Assessments, Grading, and Badges
In this course, you will not receive "grades" in the traditional sense. There is no final grade.
Quizzes
You will complete self-check quizzes that are used to gauge your own progress. These quizzes will provide you with a "grade" but it is only used for your own purposes and you may take them as many times as you like.
Peer Review Assignments
The primary grading method is peer review assignments. You will find that in order to be successful in the peer review assignments, you will want to complete all of the other activities in the course. Peer Review Assignments are a two-step process.
- Submit your completed assignment by the posted assignment due date.
- Complete a peer review using a provided rubric for 2 of your classmates' submissions by the posted review due date.
Mastery of each peer review assignment will be demonstrated by earning an 80% or higher average from your peers on the peer review assignment. Please review the following Canvas pages on how peer review assignments work:

Rubrics
Rubrics are used for the peer-reviewed assignments. Rubrics contain the criteria and rating for each element of the assignment and are directly mapped to the course objectives and competencies. To "pass" the assignment, refer to the posted information about that specific assignment and rubric. You should use the rubric as both a guide to help you in your assignment submission and when grading the 2 peer assignments.
Badges
Successful completion of each week's activities and assessments will earn you a badge for that week. Successful completion and earning of badges from all 6 weeks will result in the awarding of the overall Access MOOC Badge.
