Welcome to Digital Tools for the K-12 Educator! As you begin this course, the following steps will help you in your success. 

Step 1: Watch the intro videos

Step 2: Complete the student surveys

  1. Please take time to take the Student Information Survey. We would like to get a better idea of your needs and interests in taking this class. 
  2. Additionally, please take the Canvas Student demographic survey

 You can complete these by clicking the links above, or by simply continuing through the module. 

Step 3: Review the syllabus

Skim through the course objectives, expectations, and course schedule on the Course Syllabus Page

Step 4: Fill out your student profile & Introduce yourself

Introductions: Please take a minute and introduce yourself on the discussion board. We like getting to know our students, and this tells us a lot about you. Tell us what you teach, where you teach, and what you want out of this course. If you have a blog, twitter handle, or other means of logging your activity in the course, feel free to share it with us here as well. If you want to get really creative, try using Thinglink Links to an external site. (or another web tool that you love) to tell us more about yourself in a visual manner!

Step 5: Start with Module 1

There are two methods of locating the weekly modules.

Method 1: Click Modules on the side menu. Then click the first link for the appropriate module.

Method 2: Click home on the side menu. Then select the appropriate module link from the course homepage. Click the next buttons at the bottom of the page to navigate through the modules.
