Ben Thomas is the Professional Lead at The Department of Health. In this (13 minute) interview he will be discussing his role and his ability to link his clinical expertise with policy change, around how people with Mental Health are understood and dealt with in the Health and Social Care sector.

Ben Thomas is  the Professional Adviser for mental health and learning disability nursing within the Chief Nursing Officer for England's Professional Leadership Team. He is the lead nurse providing advise on all mental health and learning disability nursing matters to the Minister of Health and Minister for Social Care, the Chief Nursing Officer and officials in the Department of Health and more widely across government as required.
