A: Yes.  “Veni, vidi, vici” (“I came, I saw, I conquered!”) was the message sent by Julius Caesar to the Roman Senate  after his victory in the Battle of Zela (northern Turkey) over King Pharnaces II of Pontus in 47 BC.  This phrase has come to represent Julius Caesar’s pragmatism as a military leader and an emperor.
