What to Expect Each Week

  • There are six (6) modules in this course that correspond to each week
  • When you open a module you will find:
    • Audio/Video Presentation of the Topic
    • Resources to Review: Articles, Websites, Videos, Podcasts
    • Assignments to Complete (Badges will be awarded upon the successful completion of each module)
  • To be successful in this course (and earn all of the available badges), you should plan to spend approximately 7-10 hours each week working in the course.  You are invited to participate according to the amount of time you have available and to gather the information that you need to continue to explore the Emerging Future.
  • Please post a message on the Discussion Q&A if you need help with any technical aspect or course content.  One of the instructors or course assistants will respond to your question as quickly as possible.
  • The instructors will post a weekly recording to introduce each module, and we will respond to questions or problems that you may experience.  This is an interactive global learning community with the goal of learning new concepts and networking with other information professionals.  Depending on the assignment you can expect it to be graded automatically or manually by the instructors or MOOC assistants.  The instructors will post in the main MOOC discussions, and they will monitor discussions in the Homerooms and Tech Crowds.
