Michelle Matheson & Christine Ruddy, RMIT University
Michelle Matheson is a liaison librarian at RMIT University. She has previously worked as a library manager and liaison librarian for TAFE Queensland and the University of Queensland. Michelle has a special interest in information literacy and building the teaching capability of librarians. She is involved in RMIT's TILT (Towards Inspiring Learning and Teaching) project which is researching the effectiveness of staff development opportunities in building teaching skills in library staff.
Christine Ruddy is a reference librarian at RMIT University, and provides liaison support in the health and biomedical sciences and business areas. She has a keen interest in information literacy, digital literacy and research skills, and in the effective instruction for these competencies, both online and offline. Christine has a background in TAFE as a campus and liaison librarian, where she explored and researched the delivery and perceived value of information literacy in the vocational educational context.
