Activity 7. Unit outline policies and procedures

Search your institution’s website for policies and procedures related to the unit outline. The unit outline is an official document and changes to assessments are not permitted without appropriate approvals. You may need to ask your Unit or Course Coordinator to help you find the relevant information. 

Answer the following questions about the practices in your institution.

• When and how should unit outlines be made available to students? 
• What is your institution’s assignment submission and return process and requirements? 

Find out your responsibility in dealing with the following: 

• assessment exemptions; 
• student appeals; and 
• supplementary assessments.
