  1. Read the University of Wollongong’s Active Learning Strategies Handbook [pdf, 146KB]. This resource has sections on activities for individuals, pairs and groups. It also has a section on how to ask questions that evoke responses. Each strategy includes a description and an explanation of the potential benefits to your students.

  2. After reading the handbook, record a few of the strategies that would suit your discipline or current topic.

  3. Plan when you can use at least one strategy in the coming week of teaching.
