About your learning in this module

We have suggested you use a Personal Learning Network for sounding out your ideas and getting feedback and support. There are also module discussion forums, however they don't provide ongoing support beyond your work here. A Personal Learning Network can take many forms and may be formal or informal. For example, it may consist of colleagues at your institution, peers involved in this course, former colleagues, conference contacts, or groups you are part of through social media, such as Twitter, a blog or a journal. You are likely to have informal networks which you have not named as Personal Learning Networks and/or you may be part of formal networks such as Communities of Practice, a peer teaching review or mentoring programs.

Use the module outline image below to guide you as you work through this module.

If you are experienced in online learning and teaching, you may want to consider the design issues from the point of view of adaptive learning strategies using learning analytics, the use of gaming theory, or exploiting cloud-based technologies. Although these aspects are beyond the scope of this module, try networking through your institution with others who are experimenting with new technologies.
