This module introduces the design, implementation and facilitation considerations that become relevant when using educational technologies for teaching, learning and assessment. You will consider key factors in deciding why and how to best use the online environment for teaching to enhance student learning.
Learning Outcomes
On successful completion of this module, you should be able to:
- determine key considerations when designing, implementing or facilitating digital learning and teaching; and
- identify the affordances of technologies, and how they can be used in blended and online learning.
Module Sections
We consider three phases or roles in digital learning:
- designing: deciding on the pedagogies and technologies; then designing and storyboarding learning activities and assessments;
- implementing: creating the online (digital) environment, i.e. building the website; and
- facilitating: working with students to use the site for learning and assessment.
