Using SOTL to progress your career

Strategic teaching staff plan their applications for probation/promotion/awards well in advance of the year in which they make their application. Drafting an application one, two or three years in advance allows the individual to see what evidence they need to have in order to support their application. Too many times we have worked with applicants who, while having a wonderful story to tell about their teaching, don’t have enough of, or the right kind of, evidence. Our advice is that you seek support to gather the data that you will need to improve your teaching, improve your students’ outcomes and experiences, and to progress your career.
