Professor Natalie Brown, University of Tasmania & Tracy Frayne, The University of Western Australia
Professor Natalie Brown is the Director of the Peter Underwood Centre for Educational Attainment. Natalie completed a PhD in Plant Science in 2000 at the University of Tasmania (UTAS). She commenced as a Lecturer in Science Education in 2001, becoming Program Director of the Bachelor of Teaching program in 2003. In 2006, she moved to the University’s academic development unit. Prior to her current role, she was Director, Academic Quality at the Tasmanian Institute of Learning and Teaching. This role encompassed policy, strategy and professional development in the areas of learning, teaching, curriculum and assessment, as well as promotion of the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning.
Tracy Frayne is a Senior Educational Development Adviser at the Centre for Education Futures, University of Western Australia and has extensive experience in learning design, instructional design, education technology, usability for the learner and using the affordances of the physical and virtual spaces for learning in higher education. Tracy has a background in learning development/design/technology, staff capability building and professional development, communications, librarianship, information architecture and public health.
