 In the last episode we saw Gary going to his GP, and then her calling for an ambulance to take him to hospital with what she suspected was a perforated ulcer. This short episode (just over 4 minutes) begins with Gary in Accident & Emergency having an initial assessment and being referred for a surgical opinion.

While you watch the video we would like you to concentrate on Gary's respiratory performance (his respiratory rate, respiratory effort, respiratory sounds, ability to speak sentences and Oxygen saturations). You will have opportunity to observe him directly as well as to see the monitors which are being used to help with the assessment. Please make some notes to help with the discussion this week.
