This short video (6 minutes) is the first in a drama series that follows Gary Mitchell. His journey gives opportunities for reflecting on the importance of recognising when someone's health deteriorates, and on giving early and appropriate interventions. This video introduces Gary's initial symptoms and visit to his GP.

 When you watch this video think particularly about how information is collected and communicated. Gary has obviously been unwell for a while and what we see in the video is an acute episode on top of his longer term illness. How well is he able to communicate the background to becoming unwell today, and how well does the GP communicate his condition onwards in the chain of care?
