Badge and Certificate Requirements

For those interested in receiving an Instructional Evaluation Service Badge and Certificate of Recognition, please take a moment to verify your completion of the requirements. When you earn the Instructional Evaluation Service Badge and Certificate of Recognition, you have demonstrated that you have completed the developmental evaluation process to evaluate and revise an educational resource to support a social need. In other words, you have gained experience for good! To earn an Instructional Evaluation Service Badge and Certificate of Recognition, you must:

  • Complete all course requirements for Modules 1 through 3.
  • Submit a final lesson deliverable meeting all of the project and Design Guide requirements for upload to the Adult Learning Zone group on OER Commons within the Reflect | Final Deliverable Submission reflection in the Badge and Certificate Module.
  • The course facilitators will verify your successful course completion by reviewing your submitted work before a badge or certificate is issued.

* Please note that we do not offer a letter of reference or other certifications based on this experience given the relatively short duration of the project (i.e. an estimated 24 hours of service).

Verify Course Requirement Completion

In addition to submitting a final lesson deliverable meeting all of the project and Design Guide requirements, you must ensure that you have completed the course requirements within Canvas. To do so, open the Modules List and ensure you have completed each requirement in Modules 1-3. Complete the requirement for any requirement missing a green checkmark.

Badge and Certificate Issuance

Note that the course facilitators will verify your successful course completion and final deliverable submission with the Reflect | Final Deliverable Submission before the Badge and Certificate of Recognition are issued. When all requirements are completed, the Badge and Certificate will be unlocked, and your completed Badge status will be reflected (see Badge in the left navigation). You will find a blank certificate that you can download, complete with your name, and print for your records within the Print Certificate Module.
