Groups: Overview

This course is set up so that you can create and join your own project group. Groups function like a smaller version of the course and are used as a collaborative tool where you can work with your classmates on group projects. 

Reminder: Creating or joining a project group is optional for those who prefer to work on the course design project with others enrolled in this course. Given the number of people enrolled in this course, the course facilitators will not monitor or participate within the project groups. Instead, please consider the group you create or join to be a peer-to-peer collaboration space.

How To View Project Groups

  • In Course Navigation on the left margin of each page, click the People link.
  • As shown in the figure below, to view user groups, click the sidebar View User Groups button [1], or click the Groups tab [2].

How Join A Project Group

  • In Course Navigation on the left margin of each page, click the People link.
  • As shown in the figure below, click on the Join link next to the name of an available group.
