Module 4: Digging Deeper with Data Visualization

Being able to visually depict your KPIs is important for operationalizing the metrics. KPIs can be displayed as dynamic or static KPIs or published online or in print form. They should be easily accessible and transparent to your staff; being able to refer to your KPIs frequently and regularly keeps them at the forefront of the conversation as the measures you should be thinking about most.

“Data visualization is the process of graphically presenting data to reveal its patterns, trends, and meaning.” (NFES, 2016)
