Module 4: Introduction

Success Criteria & Targets

Within intentional organizations, our work is continually driven by the mission and goals of our programs, departments, division, and institution. A crucial aspect of assessment success is that assessment aligns with greater institutional aspirations. One could distribute surveys, run t-tests, and compute averages all day long but those efforts are meaningless without direction and purpose. This module will guide participants with tools and strategies to write their own success criteria for their organization that provides target direction and demonstrates mission, goal, or outcome attainment.

Learning Objectives

  1. Participants will distinguish key terms and a common language to shape organizational development.
  2. Participants will practice strategies for engaging an organization in mission and vision identification.

  5. Participants will identify key performance indicators and data points to demonstrate program effectiveness.
