Week 1 of Tell Your Story in English is about reading stories

By the end of this course, you will write a story in English.

You might already have a story in mind, or maybe you have no idea what you will write about. That’s okay! By the end of this week you will choose a topic and title for your story.

This week you’re going to begin by reading three example stories. These stories were written by English teachers about their own lives. There is also an optional story that is longer, and fictional. As you read, think about whether the stories remind you of any events in your own life. Maybe this will help you find an idea for your own story. We will also discuss the parts of a good story. This can help you get ready to plan out your story in more detail next week.

We're excited about working with you!
