Quest allows students to create interactive adventures from their writing. Quest is open source and free, but does require a subscription to access. 

The interactive stories can be played anywhere on a web browser, downloaded to a PC, or played as an app. 

*Remember that this service does not use https, so you must "load unsafe scripts" by clicking on the icon in your top right address bar in order to see the embedded content.
