Instructions

The data in the tab "Section 2 Regression" has been collected from 50 soccer games. The variables "Team Rank" and "Opponent Rank" indicate the two opposing team's position on the ladder at the time of the match. "Relative Quality" indicates the difference in ranking between the two opposing teams. "Shot Quality" determines the quality of shots (with a high probability of scoring) taken in matches compared to the league average. i.e. 1.05 indicates the team has taken 5% more good quality shots compared to the league average, whereas 0.95 indicates the team has taken 5% less good quality shots compared to the league average. 

 

Conduct a linear regression in Excel to predict Shot Quality (dependent/outcome variable) for a given Relative Quality (predictor) to answer the following questions.
