How Am I Supposed to Do This?
This "workshop" is designed to be as simple and take as little time as possible. Clicking on "Home" on the left column will take you to the course's main page, and clicking on "Modules" will bring you to the, uh, list of modules and their contents. "Modules" are units of learning, pretty much, so take it as it comes.
You may skip around in here all you like, but this course has a linear structure and we recommend that you go through it in order, navigating primarily by reading each content page and then clicking on the little "next" arrow that directs you rightward. That said, we know that some of you are probably thinking (or uttering), "Let me get to what I need." If you are somewhat confident in your familiarity with open resources, feel free to go about doing whatever you want with this (as long as it neither violates the terms of the CC license nor is, generally speaking, indecent). If you just read the content in parentheses and were like, "What??!?", we would not only question your excessive use of punctuation but also advise that you continue through this workshop in the recommended order.
Each module begins with a short hypothetical situation, a diagnostic assessment, and an overview of the module's objectives. This is to gauge your initial knowledge/attitude and get you ready for the content. At the end of each module, you will find a quiz-like "Recap" that can serve as a formative assessment. The summative assessment will (and must) be whether or not a steady flow of stunningly effective materials end up created and legitimately distributed out there in the real, wide world.
There are no "assignments" in this course (nor is there a "grade" of any kind), but there are a few DIY ("Do it Yourself") encouragements integrated into the modules for familiarizing yourself with some of the guidelines and methods of creating OER. You can use these as opportunities to painlessly get yourself started with open resources.
Are you ready? What? Oh, okay, there remain existential questions, apparently unavoidable.
